Plain-language versions of the two documents that govern VORA. Local-first by default; the cloud is your choice.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using VORA or its web app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. License
Yunqing Studio grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use VORA for lawful purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or redistribute the software.
3. Accounts
An account is optional but required for cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use VORA to violate laws, infringe rights, attack systems, or generate unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
5. AI output
Responses are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate. Review important output before relying on it. Nothing in the service constitutes professional advice.
6. Updates
VORA updates automatically. We may change features over time; significant changes are noted in the Changelog.
7. Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yunqing Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the software.
8. Termination
You may stop using VORA and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access for material breaches of these Terms.
9. Changes & contact

Privacy Policy
1. Principles
VORA is local-first. Your documents, knowledge-base indexes, and conversation cache live on your machine. Cloud services exist to sync what you choose to sync — nothing more.
2. What we collect
When you use VORA we may process:
- Account data — your email address and authentication credentials.
- Synced content — conversations and attachments, only while signed in.
- AI requests — prompts and model responses needed to serve your request.
- Minimal diagnostics — version and error reports used to keep the app stable.
We do not sell personal data.
3. Cloud sync is optional
Sign in to sync sessions and attachments across devices; stay signed out and your data never leaves your computer. You can sign out at any time.
4. Knowledge base
Knowledge-base indexing runs locally on desktop. Documents you import are not uploaded for indexing.
5. Deletion
Deleting your account cascades: cloud conversations, attachments, and account records are removed from our servers. Local copies on your device remain under your control.
6. Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
7. Third-party models
AI requests are routed to model providers (such as DeepSeek, Qwen, Anthropic, OpenAI) to generate responses. Prompts are transmitted for that purpose only.
8. Children
VORA is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
